True Grit by Charles Portis

It's a Coen Brothers masterpiece, starring the amazing Jeff Bridges and the controversial (at least on our podcast) Matt Damon. Oh, and Hailee Steinfeld wasn't quite at the Edge of Seventeen when she OWNED this film. Guys - it's TRUE GRIT!!! (The good one...)

  • Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) - Narrator of our story... Who is 14 and awesome
  • Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) - a US Marshall hired by Mattie to go hunt down her father's killer
  • LaBoeuf (Matt Damon) - A Texas Ranger, also searching for the the killer (though for different reasons)
  • Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin) - Killed Mattie's father... Killed people in Texas (thus LaBoeuf)...
