It's not THE Arrival (the 1996 movie w/ Charlie Sheen), it's JUST Arrival! Wait, is that confusing? The film title is just Arrival... No, like, the title is only Arrival, not just Arrival... Geez, we've got a problem...

Character Cheat Sheet!
  • Dr. Louise Banks (Amy Adams) - A world-renowned linguist, brought in to help the US communicate w/ the Heptapods
  • Ian Donnelly (Jeremy Renner) - A well known physicist who partners w/ Banks
  • Colonel Weber (Forest Whitaker) - US Military member in command of the communication efforts
  • Heptapod = extraterrestrial beings w/ 7 squid like arms and big bodies... not unlike the Aliens in The Simpsons (but totally different)
  • Abbott & Costello - the names of the Heptapods that Banks and Donnelly meet with
